Advances in Technology to Reduce Fertilizer Plant Costs through Improved Maintenance and Reliability
G van Cappellen E Meijer

Summary:-

Keywords: Condition monitoring, Computerised maintenance management, Predictive maintenance, Preventative maintenance.

This paper has touched on only some of the aspects which we feel will define a new maintenance paradigm - Enterprise Asset Operations (EAO). The ability of a reliability professional to use information from disparate databases - control systems, process historians, vibration and other condition monitoring systems, CMMSs, calibration systems, and the Honeywell Shared Engineering Environment (SEE) - combined onto a single platform is in itself potentially powerful. Include Virtual Testing technologies to extend the accuracy and reach of Predictive Maintenance; integrate reliability assessment tools that operate from and with the condition assessment and Alert Manager; and provide a knowledge storage framework, and you have Honeywell’s Equipment Health Management - part of the @sset.MAX suite for more reliable, incident-free plant operation.
