Fluid fertilizer products and the equipment for their manufacture, storage and application, have reached a stage of development where they represent a significant part of established practice. Their ease of handling and potential for very accurate application has led to their adoption in many parts of the world.

This paper surveys the present state of fluid fertilizer technology, drawing attention to its considerable versatility within the context of a variety of agricultural situations.
